Peanut Gajak (also gachak) is a well-known dessert or confection originating in India. It is a dry sweet made of sesame seeds (til) or peanuts and jaggery. The til is cooked in the raw sugar syrup and set in thin layers, which can be stored for months.
Ingredients necessary for preparation of Peanut Gajak:
- 1-2 pcs jaggery
- to taste peanuts
- 2 tsp ghee
Preparation of Gajak:
- Melt jaggery with ghee over low heat.
- After that add peanuts slowly.
- mix for a few minutes.
- Transfer this into greased pan and cool overnight.
- Now, break into pieces
- yummy Gajak is ready.
